Een concert bezoeken in een theater, het mag weer sinds 26 januari 2022! In aanloop naar de 9e editie van het Red Light Jazz festival in juni, zal het sfeervolle TOBACCO Theater het toneel zijn van enkele fantastische jazzconcerten om alvast in de stemming te komen.

Julie Huard neemt je op zondagmiddag 17 april in het TOBACCO Theater mee op reis naar een Parijse nachtclub met swingende Frans- en Engelstalige jazz standards afgewisseld met een zwoel chanson, voorzien van glitter, glamour en show. Alles is in een eigen modern jasje gestoken door haar begeleidingsband bestaande uit piano, contrabas, drums, trompet en saxofoon.

Julie Huard is één van de grootse aanstormende zangtalenten van dit moment. In 2019 won zij de prestigieuze Liesbeth List prijs en vorig jaar de Europese Artist of the Year Award. Onder haar fans mag ze grote internationale sterren rekenen waaronder Señorita-zangeres Camila Cabello die in een interview met het Amerikaanse Glamour Magazine verklaarde enorm onder de indruk te zijn van Julie’s zwoele stemgeluid. Ook het management van de in 2018 overleden Charles Aznavour brengt Julie’s Franstalige muziek regelmatig onder de aandacht van de miljoenen trouwe volgers van zijn muzikale nalatenschap op social media.

In januari 2022 reisde Julie naar de Verenigde Staten nadat de vaste begeleidingsband van Lady Gaga en Tony Bennett haar had uitgenodigd om met hen op te treden in New York. Daar wist ze de harten te veroveren van het Amerikaanse publiek, onder meer in de beroemde jazzclub Birdland. Er werden ook plaatopnamen gemaakt.

On Sunday afternoon, April 17, at the TOBACCO Theater Julie Huard takes you on a trip to a Parisian nightclub. Swinging French and English jazz standards alternated with a sultry chanson, with lots of glitter, glamor and show. All given a unique modern sound by her fantastic band consisting of piano, double bass, drums, trumpet and saxophone.

Young Julie is one of today’s greatest up and coming talents. Not only did she win the prestigious Liesbeth List prize in 2019, but she also concluded 2021 with the European Artist of the Year Award. Among her fans she can count major international stars such as Señorita singer Camila Cabello, who declares in an interview with the American Glamor Magazine that she is very impressed by Julie’s warm and sultry voice. The management of Charles Aznavour, who has passed away in 2018, also regularly brings Julie’s French repertoire to the attention of the millions of followers of Aznavours legacy on social media.

In January 2022, Julie traveled to the United States after Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett’s backing band invited her to perform with them in New York. There she managed to conquer the hearts of the American public in the famous jazz club Birdland. New recordings were also made in ‘The Big Apple’.
