The Amsterdam Vocals is een kleine a cappella vocal group bestaande uit 16 enthousiaste zangers. De 7 mannen en 9 vrouwen zingen onder leiding van dirigent Pepijn Lagerwey.

Het repertoire bestaat uit uiteenlopende nummers: we zingen oldies van Michael Jackson en The Beach boys, maar ook nieuwe hits uit binnen- en buitenland. De betekenis van een lied staat altijd centraal, we vinden het erg belangrijk om gevoel over te brengen op het publiek.

De arrangementen zijn erg afwisselend, van 4 tot wel 11-stemmig. Soms met nadruk op het ritme door te werken met vocal- of body percussion, soms meer gericht op de expressie die we met een regisseur instuderen. Dit alles maakt dat we veel plezier hebben in het zingen met elkaar en dat laten we graag aan anderen horen!

The Amsterdam Vocals is a small a cappella vocal group consisting of 16 enthusiastic singers. The 7 men and 9 women sing under the direction of conductor Pepijn Lagerwey.

The repertoire consists of a variety of songs: we sing oldies by Michael Jackson and The Beach Boys, but also new hits from home and abroad. The meaning of a song is always central, we think it is very important to convey feelings to the audience.

The arrangements are very varied, from 4 to 11 voices. Sometimes with an emphasis on the rhythm by working with vocal or body percussion, sometimes more focused on the expression that we study with a director. All this means that we have a lot of fun singing together and we like to let others hear it!
