About us

 We are TOBACCO and we dare to do business culturally and commercially! We are an inspiring and industrial location located in the defense theater street of Amsterdam, the Nes. A historic place where, from 2010, culture and commerce meet and reinforce each other.

TOBACCO is a non-subsidized theater (read: we are very stubborn) that gives free space to cultural activities with a preference for music and inspiring performances. And yes, that costs money. We truly believe that this cultural investment has a trade effect on the success of business activities in our location.

TOBACCO deliberately does not have a fixed programming. We want to offer a stage for spontaneous and unique freedom. As a result, we can often add last minute performances to our program just in front of the competition. On the Nes 75 there is plenty of room to express and experience chained, riotous and unfulfillable creativity, especially in the short term.
